Spacer Upgrade Part 2

We have recently made some significant upgrades to the Model 89 Filler.  Boxes on the empty box conveyor pushing on the box on the scale has always been a big problem, especially with long conveyors fed by chutes.  Until now.  We added a separate sensor to control the Spacer Clamp behind the scale to guarantee it has a significant gap between the box on the scale and the one held by the Spacer Clamp.  It went from no gap at all to a gap of up to seven inches.  At first we thought this gap was excessive, but we decided to leave the gap that wide to assure that if the box does slip a little it still doesn't touch the box being filled.  When the box is full the Spacer Clamp opens first and allows it to close the gap, then the Scale Clamp opens.  With this feature, the boxes don't drift and they land in the same place on the scale every time.  This system has improved scale accuracy and works so well that we are making it standard on new Model 89 Fillers.  It can be added to existing Model 89 Fillers as well.   We have also upgraded the full box traffic on the Model 89 to make it faster and more accurate.  See the Model 89 page for more info on the traffic upgrade.
